Artist's Inspiration:
Adam
“Thy hands fashioned and made me altogether...and knit me together with bones and sinew...the breath of the Almighty gives me life...I have been formed out of the clay”. (Job 10:8,11 & 33:4,6) We are purposefully, uniquely, and lovingly hand made in God’s own image. This first man is still emerging out of the clay and receiving his first breath. His hand is resting on God’s little finger to give it a feeling of tenderness and intimacy instead of being captured in his grip. This is communion with God and his demeanor is saying “...I will give thanks to thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
(Psalms 139:14)
