Mismatch

This sculpture is about accepting the challenges for which God has uniquely prepared us. It conveys David’s reaction to Goliath’s challenge. He has an attitude of confident humility and deep conviction that God is with him. This is no blind leap of faith as God had previously delivered him in battles with lion and bear. His only visible weapon was a sling and stone but he knew the angel of the Lord would deliver the stone to the lethal spot. In his own words “...the Lord does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord’s “.

Goliath was hopelessly mismatched against this godly man of faith.
