Western Swing

July 2010:

Four new sculptures have been added to the Steel gallery: Chipshot, Shumba, Tembo and Thunderbolt.

May 2010:

Greg had an artist reception at Primary Elements Gallery for the Spring Unveiling Festival in Cannon Beach on May 1st.

March 2010:

Greg and other artists from all over the world displayed their artwork at the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival in Carefree, Arizona, March 5th-7th.

February 2010:

Through the month of February the steel pieces, Liberty Belle, Biscuit, and Papoose were in an outdoor exhibit at the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon.

October 2009:

Greg's historic size bronze, Maverick, has now been added to the Installations collection.

March 2009:

Papoose has been added to the steel collection. She measures 82" high and depicts a mother and child.

April 2009 :

Greg's newly finished piece, Maverick features two horses and a rider and is a heroic size bronze. Saturday, April 25, 2009 was the unveiling at the Prinville City Hall Plaza located across from the courthouse in Prineville, Oregon.

In late October 2004, Oregon Art Beat aired an episode featuring Greg and his sulptures on Oregon Public Broadcasting television. That episode will ran again on April 9, 2009 and featured some of Greg's newest projects.

Oregon Art Beat is an Emmy award winning weekly television series produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB). It profiles artists, musicians, and artisans, and keeps you informed on upcoming art events in Oregon.

October 2008 :

Sneakers, a steel cougar, was on display in Carefree, Arizona for the 14th annual Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival, March 6th - 8th, 2009.

May 2008 :

An artist's reception and sculpting demonstration by Greg took place at the Primary Elements Gallery in Cannon Beach for the annual Spring Unveiling Art Show. There he unveiled his steel piece, Darlin.

A new sculpture has been added to the collection. Darlin, is a 1/3 lifesize and is made of steel found objects.

February 2008 :

Greg and other artists from all over the world attended the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival in Carefree, Arizona, February 29 - March 2nd.

On February 21st - 24th, Traveler was exhibited at the Elk Foundation National Convention and Auction in Reno, Navada.

November 2007 :

The Redmond Commission for Art in Public Places has unanimously chosen Greg's Air Traffic Control and heroic version of Western Swing for an award for "Unique Enhancement to Redmond Public Arts"! . Each year the Association of REALTORS acknowledges those who have added to or enhanced their community in some way.

Both of these pieces are installed in the city of Redmond, OR.

October 2007 :

The City of Redmond celebrated the installation of Western Swing, Greg's life-size bronze sculpture, on October 17. The sculpture was donated by Phil and Penny Knight and is the second piece of art in the City's public art program.

The piece is located at the North Y in Redmond.

August 2007 :

The High Desert Museum/Praegitzer Gallery named Greg as the featured artist for the month of August. The artists reception was August 10th and 11th.

May 2007 :

A steel sculpture, designed by Greg, has been installed in Redmond, Oregon. Air Traffic Control is the town's first piece of public art.

March 2007 :

Greg and other artists from all over the world attended the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival in Carefree, Arizona, March 2-4th.

November 2006:

Greg gave a sculpture demonstration and unveiled his new bronze Western Swing at Primary Elements gallery in Cannon Beach on November 4th, during the Stormy Weather Arts Festival.

Greg gave a clay sculpting demonstration at the Primary Elements Gallery in Sandpiper Square in Cannon Beach on Saturday, May 6th.

April 2006 :

Two new sculptures have been added to the steel collection. Doc is a 8'2" heron, and Rocky is an indian chief.

A new steel sculpture has been added to the collection. Chip is a life-size buffalo, and was displayed in Carefree, AZ for the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival.

Greg gave a clay sculpting demonstration at the Primary Elements Gallery in Sandpiper Square in Cannon Beach on November 5, 2005.

April 2005:

An artist's reception and sculpting demonstration by Greg was at the Primary Elements Gallery in Cannon, Beach for the annual Spring Unveiling Art Show, April 29th thru May 1st.

January 2005:

Greg and other artists from all over the world attended the Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival in Carefree, Arizona, January 21-23.

December 2004:

Greg attended an artist Reception at the Caswell Gallery in Troutdale, Oregon on December. 3rd. This gallery is located at the foot of the majestic Columbia River Gorge.

November 2004:

There was an artist’s reception at the Stormy Weather Fine Art and Wine Festival in Cannon Beach, Oregon on November 5-7.

A clay sculpting demonstration was given by Greg at the Primary Elements Gallery in Sandpiper Square in Cannon Beach, on November 6th.

August 2004:

Living Sculpture Studio along with 350 other sculptors and artists, were at the Sculpture Invitational Show & Sale in Loveland Colorado, on August 6, 7 & 8. The show was sponsored by the Loveland Sculpture Group, a non-profit corporation dedicated to expanding opportunities and appreciation for sculpture. Contact Greg to find out more about this once a year event for the most talented sculptors and artists. The Sculpture Invitational Show & Sale is the largest outdoor sculpture show in the country.

July 2004:

The steel sculpture Rarin' To Go was displayed at the Bend Summer Festival July 9-11th.

March 2004:

Greg displayed his latest work at the ‘Celebrating God’s Gifts’ reception and exhibition at the Caswell Gallery in Troutdale, Oregon. During the visit Greg also did a bronze sculpting demonstration.

September 2011 :

An artist's reception for Greg latest piece, Two Bits, was held on September 14. The heroic-sized steel sculpture depicts two draft horses pulling a Ponderosa log, and has been installed in Farewell Bend Park.

Two more of Greg's steel pieces, Papoose and Darlin', can both be found at Tumalo Art Co. which is located in the heart of the Old Mill District at 450 SW Powerhouse Dr. #407 in Bend, Oregon.
